Taekwondo is a full contact martial art that employs fast and powerful kicking, jumping, and punching techniques. The art originated in the early pre-dynastic period of what is now Korea, almost 3000 years ago.

Taekwondo has developed during the past 2000 years into the most efficient and scientific system of martial arts in the world. It is the national sport of the Korean Nation. Sometimes referred to a as the art of “Super Kicking”, modern Taekwondo is the basis for many self defense systems and is featured as an official Olympic sport.

As they learn Taekwondo and practice its many diverse movements, students develop self-discipline, confidence, patience, self-esteem, courtesy, and physical fitness.
